This policy explains how the DO NOT MATCH mobile game (the Game) handles your information. The Game is operated by The Plain Works Co., Ltd., a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea (Plain Works, we, us). Our Privacy team handles privacy questions and requests: email hello@theplain.works with "DO NOT MATCH privacy" in the subject.

1. The short version

  • The Game is local and single-player. It has no account, no cloud save and no analytics or crash-reporting service of its own. Google's ad SDK does collect data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention (section 3); that "analytics" is Google's ad measurement, not an analytics service of ours.
  • The Game goes online only for Google's consent form and ads (section 3) and, if it is shown, Google Play's review prompt (section 4).
  • Your progress stays on your device. We do not receive it.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • The Game is intended for players 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.

2. Information stored on your device

To let you play, the Game stores on your device: a local profile identifier, your level progress, stars, coins and lives, your daily bonus, your earned story records, receipt IDs, a pending story reveal and board-restart state, a history of which prompts you have seen, a session count, how many free-coin ads you watched today, the timing counters that keep ad limits across restarts, and your music, effects, haptics and reduced-motion settings. It also creates a fictional receipt image when you ask to share one. A save checksum helps detect damaged saves but is not encryption. We do not receive this information. Whether it is backed up, moved to a new device or deleted is controlled by your device and Android settings. The Game uses your phone's touch feedback for haptics if you leave it on. It does not ask for your contacts, location, camera, microphone or photos.

When you choose to share, the Game gives a fictional receipt image to your phone's share sheet. The app or service you pick may keep it and use it under its own rules. We do not choose the recipient and do not get a copy.

3. Ads and Google

The Game shows ads served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK: rewarded ads you choose to watch (for extra moves, a life or coins) and interstitial ads after some levels. When the Game requests, shows or measures an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares the following data with Google automatically: your IP address (which Google may use to estimate the general location of your device); user product interactions, meaning app launch, taps and video views; diagnostic information about how the Game and the SDK perform, including app launch time, hang rate and energy usage; and device and account identifiers, meaning your Android advertising ID, an app set ID and, if applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts on your device. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Collection of the Android advertising ID is optional (see Your controls below). The Game declares the Android advertising ID permission for this. Google publishes no separate Play data disclosure for its User Messaging Platform SDK, which shows the consent form described below; we claim nothing about it beyond that consent form. Google is an independent controller or processor of this information under its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not sell your personal information.

Purposes. Google lists three purposes for this data: advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. The "analytics" in that list is Google's measurement of its ads and SDK. The Game has no analytics service of its own (section 1). Under some U.S. state privacy laws, ads based on your activity across apps can count as "targeted advertising" or "sharing". Where the law of your location requires your consent, including for personalized ads and for access to information on your device in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we rely on your consent given in the consent form. Where consent is not required, our basis is our legitimate interest in funding the Game with ads and preventing ad fraud, or another basis the law provides.

Consent form. The Game starts Google's User Messaging Platform when it opens. In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and anywhere else Google's platform requires it, you see a consent form before any ad is requested, and the Game requests ads only after Google's platform says it may. If you decline, the Game still works and the ads you see are non-personalized or limited. When Google's platform says your location requires a way to revisit your choice, the Game shows a Privacy options button in Settings. If the button is not there, none is required for your location.

Your controls. On Android, go to Settings, then Google, then Ads (the path varies by device) to delete your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization. Withdrawing or declining consent does not delete your progress.

Age settings. The Game has no age screen and does not ask your age. It tells Google's consent tool that the player is not under the age of consent, and it does not set Google's child-directed treatment tag or an under-age tag on ad requests. The Game is intended for players 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not target ads at children. The Game is not in Google Play's Families program.

International transfer. Google processes ad data in the United States and in other countries where it operates. Because we are a Korean company, we also tell you under Article 28-8 of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act: the recipient is Google (the Google entity for your region is named in its policy linked above); the items are the IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information and device and account identifiers (advertising ID, app set ID and related identifiers), as listed above; the purposes are advertising, analytics (Google's ad and SDK measurement) and fraud prevention; the transfer happens over the internet when the Game requests or shows an ad; and Google keeps the data as its own policy describes. You can refuse by declining consent, resetting or deleting your advertising ID, or not watching optional rewarded ads. If you do, ads become non-personalized or limited and you keep your local progress.

4. Google Play

The Game is distributed through Google Play. Once it is listed, it may ask Google Play to show its in-app review prompt after you collect the first document of chapter 2 and after you finish each later chapter, at most three times a year, at least 30 days apart, never in your first session and not straight after a loss. Whether you rate or review is up to you, and Google handles anything you submit under its terms. Google Play and Android also process information about your device and your use of the store under Google's own terms. We may see aggregated statistics such as installs and crash rates in Google Play Console.

5. Email you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachment. We use them to answer you, look into reported problems, protect the Game and our rights, and meet legal duties. Our support and privacy email runs on Google Workspace, which processes sender and recipient addresses, message content, attachments and mail and security metadata. Its terms are in the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. We do not use support email for advertising. Please send only what we need and do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents.

We keep support email only as long as we need it for those purposes, then delete it or remove what identifies you. Deleted mail may remain in Google's backups for a short period under Google Workspace's settings. We keep records the law requires only for the period it requires.

6. Who receives information

Google (for ads, section 3 and Google Play, section 4) and the app you choose when you share. Our email provider handles email you send us. We disclose information to others only where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or with your permission. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use or disclose it for anything that would count as a "sale" under U.S. state privacy laws.

7. Keeping and deleting your information

Saves stay on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the Game, subject to any device backup you turned on. We hold no copy and cannot delete it for you. There is no separate reset button in the Game. Information that Google holds for ads is controlled through section 3 and Google's policy. Anything you already shared to another app is controlled by that app.

8. Children

The Game is intended for players 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. The Game is distributed through Google Play. Google Play rates the Game Everyone (ESRB) / PEGI 3. The rating applies once it is listed. That rating describes what the content contains; it does not say who the Game is meant for. It has no sign-in, chat or online profile, and it does not ask for a child's name, birth date, contact details or other personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child under 13 has sent us personal information, a parent or guardian can email hello@theplain.works with "DO NOT MATCH privacy" and we will delete it. In Korea, we do not collect personal information from a child under 14 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, limit or object to its use, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing", appeal a decision on your request, or complain to a regulator. We do not discriminate against you for using these rights. For the information in the Game, use the controls in sections 3 and 7. For email we hold, write to hello@theplain.works with "DO NOT MATCH privacy" in the subject and describe your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity in a way that fits the request. We answer within the time the law sets (for example 45 days in many U.S. states) and explain any refusal. If we refuse a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "appeal". Korean users can also contact the Personal Information Protection Commission at https://www.pipc.go.kr/eng/.

10. Security and changes

We do not run a server that holds your progress. Local saves sit in the Game's app storage under Android's protections. Keep your device protected. We use reasonable safeguards for email we receive, but no device or email system is perfectly secure.

If a future version adds an analytics service of its own or another way of using information, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires. We update the date at the top when this policy changes. Previous version: October 23, 2026.
